Smiling for the viewer, Balinese artist Anton Papo paints himself in this stunning painting. He works in a characteristic expressionist style with dark tones and angular shapes. The painting reads 'self portrait.' Says the artist, 'I only want to express my heart by painting this portrait of myself. I drew it spontaneously, showing a bit of my narcissistic side. I try to present a face that doesn't look optimistic, yet deep in my heart I feel really optimistic.'
