Working on a backstrap loom, Elena Ixtamer in Guatemala crafts this beautiful rayon ikat shawl in navy and white. Ikat is a weaving technique that employs resist dyeing the yarns before weaving the fabric. Braided fringe trims both ends of the shawl.
