Handmade Recycled Paper Beaded Necklace 'Easy Spirit'

Description

'An 'easy spirited' design to help you sail through the changing scenes of life,' says Ghanaian designer Akwele Suma of this necklace. She crafts each pendant by hand, rolling paper recycled from a variety of printed materials in a palette of colors that includes grey, cream, red, orange, purple, green, blue, black, and brown. The necklace is finished with sese wood beads.

The artist uses the paper at hand so paper colors will vary, making each design a unique example of handcrafted art. These beads receive a protective coat of clear nail polish.
