This beautiful statuette by Balinese artisan Wayan Rendah shows Buddha in a deep state of meditation. Hand crafted from native suar wood, the intricate detailing of Buddha's hair, face, and clothing is truly exquisite. The pose in which Buddha sits is traditionally known as dhyana mudra, where his right hand represents enlightenment, and the left is the illusory nature of existence.

Not Enough Stars

A year or so ago I was able to buy Handcrafted Balinese Suar Wood Meditating Buddha Statuette, "Meditative" and I felt that 5 stars were not enough. Here I am again with not enough stars. Well, stars on a page are of this world, but the quality of workmanship and the feelings one gets from looking at it takes one beyond any description I could express here. He is simply beautiful. As good as you will find in any museum. I love having him in my home,

This piece is so unique. I love the beautiful wood and the craftsmanship is magnificent. Once I saw the Video on how it was made I was sold. Love this piece.
