Description
With the privilege of experience, Ghanaian artisan Awudu Saaed creates the original design of this spectacular mask. He incorporates the artistic style of the Akan people as he carves the sese wood mask by hand with an anoma (bird) on the forehead. Saaed uses colorful glass beads to decorate the mask's face as well as embossed brass on the eyelids and around the face.

Saaed works with available brass plates to make a one of a kind version of his original design.

I purchased a mask for my son a couple years ago and was blown away by the craftsmanship. Really stunning! I decided to purchase one for myself from this talented artist.

    Beautiful addition

When the mask arrived I was prepared for disappointment, but quickly realized it was even more beautiful than the online portrayal. Having spent many years as an artist and art teacher believe that this artist is profoundly skilled.
