Description

Pacific blue alternates with white on this handcrafted cotton shawl to evoke dawn flowers. Aftab works in the ancient Rajasthani dabu print technique to craft a beautiful shawl. Printing blocks are dipped in a mixture of mud, which is stamped onto the cloth to create the motifs. When dry, the fabric is dipped in a bath of indigo dye, thus dabu is known as a mud resist print.

Because of their handcrafted nature, no two dabu prints are ever identical.

Gorgeous cotton shawl. I love the length and width so much! It's the perfect size to wrap myself covering the parts of me that get a chill. [Most other shawls are much shorter and half as wide.] ALSO, I LOVE the mesh-like bag it came in - beautiful! I like this bag so much more than the bags my purchases usually come. I never keep those bags. THIS ONE I'LL KEEP! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
