Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu creates this African mask, which is hand-carved from a single piece of sese wood and given a red painted finish. Accents of hand-embossed aluminum on the forehead and cheeks evoke traditional scarification practices. This mask is named Chukwueliegwe, meaning 'awesome' in the Igbo language of Nigeria.
